Teachers Explain to pupils the various math concepts to help deepen the pupils’ math understanding.  Pupils will have some opportunities to Extend their learning to Real World Math. Pupils will also learn how to use various types of heuristics to solve word problems.

Content & Heuristics Mastery

Pupils will learn to draw part-whole and comparison models to help them solve word problems.

Pupils will apply heuristics including Listing systematically, observing and finding a Pattern.

Pupils will develop critical thinking skills through higher order thinking challenging word problems.
